Lesson 34 of 90

I can count on one hand the number of times anyone has given me a prophetic word. And because it is so rare, I remember, almost verbatim what the prophet or those working in the prophetic gifting have shared with me. The second word I received in my life was my position in the body of Christ as an Oracle. At the time I wondered what that meant, later in life I wondered when I would start.
Then came social media and I found it to be the perfect platform to speak to my children the words of wisdom that I think are important, the words I want to reiterate, and the words that I know they’ll appreciate later in life if not today—and social media was the perfect indirect approach.
What I didn’t realize is how many people would find short prayers and reminders of life beneficial. If my children never responded or reposted what they read for them, countless others did! You see, initially, I thought social media was in and of itself a gigantic waste of valuable time. What I didn’t realize was, herein was the forum God would use to speak into lives as an oracle.
I found out much later that my natural children were glancing at posts while others were benefiting. With this in mind, I wanted to capture what would expire over time into something my children, and you, could reference forever.
Some of the sayings you may have heard before and others you may have known but never really considered. Regardless, my prayer is that you enjoy each page, as I’m direct, facetious and principled. Just know I speak from the heart of a mother with good intentions towards you.
Let the read bless your life and know little tweaks here and there, or a complete overhaul in personality can make the difference in having a fulfilled existence or a life denied of the many benefits available to you as a believer.
Now, the Words of an Oracle...
Dear Woman,
Like the Apostles wrote letters to the early church, these are the posts I made on social media and elaborated as a letter just for you. They are designed to inspire and provoke you to be, do and have everything God intended for your life. Some days are a reminder, others are an admonishment, but each day is designed to encourage you.
Sometimes we just need to be encouraged. We can know the Truth and know what’s right, but a reminder is always refreshing. This devotional is designed to be just that—refreshing.
LESSON 34
“I pray you stand in your authority today.”
When life becomes amuck and things are out of order around you, it’s easy to feel like your hands are tied. Even more, it’s easy to feel like there’s nothing to hold onto when everything swirls out of control. Confusion elicits high emotions, a collision of bad behaviors and an environment filled with tension and divide. Maybe you experience it during holidays with relatives in town. Maybe you’ve been living with it daily in your marriage. Or, maybe your office environment evolved into an atmosphere of animosity, angst and anger—right before your eyes.
Essentially, this is a time of distraction from what really matters, a time when feelings reign, and worst of all, the fear of the Lord is dismissed as carnality is on display and people follow the dictates of their own heart rather than the will of God and the leading of Holy Spirit. Be clear, He does lead even in times of chaos but because the issues are so loud and commanding, focus is lost, perspective is warped, and an opportunity is stripped.
Whenever there is an outburst of wrath, a display of disaffection, and/or disorder you have an opportunity to feed the fire or put an end to it. If you’re going to put an end to it, first, check yourself. If there is selfish ambition and envy within you, you’re the source or part of the problem. Blaming others further handicaps you! Stop the outbreak: judge your sin, repent to God and apologize to people. If you’re not the source, make sure that you’re not an instigator. Friction can’t start on it’s own, someone has to rub for fire. If you’re the troublemaker who’s meddling and agitating issues, your actions grieve Holy Spirit and will return to you as tribulation.
God is not the author of confusion, but the devil is and he uses people for his agenda. Which means you must let God use you! Stand up and declare peace to the storm! Exercise your spiritual authority over the eruption of conflict/pain. Literally, open your mouth and tell the devil his agenda is exposed and every plot and plan to provoke and prod confusion and unrest is now nullified and made void, in Jesus’ name! You can evict the devil from the premises, from his assignment and from having any affect on your life because you have delegated authority! (Luke 10:19) And God told me to tell you to stand up, and use the power in your mouth to put a stop to the foolishness! Don’t let your silence embolden the darkness!
Regardless of your personality, you can make a difference if you’ll assess and attack the real source. I’m not telling you to go yell at people, I’m telling you to either adjust yourself and/or get into your prayer closet and arrest the spirits of darkness that create havoc and laugh as people’s lives falls apart.
You’ve got the power (through Jesus) and God’s got your back. So, get to work!
